Umpires Asad Rauf and Billy Bowden raised concerns over Ajmal's actions
Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal can resume his international career after his action was declared legal by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Ajmal, 31, was reported by match officials last month over his action during Pakistan's six-wicket defeat by Australia in a one-dayer in Dubai.
But Professor Bruce Elliott, a member of the ICC panel of human movement specialists, deemed his action legal.
However the ICC stressed Ajmal would be subjected to ongoing assessments.
"It is important to emphasise that no bowler is ever 'cleared' as it is impossible to predict how a player might deliver the ball in the future," said ICC general manager Dave Richardson.
"All bowlers are subject to further reporting if the match officials are of the view that they have concerns about whether a delivery or deliveries conform to the laws of cricket when observed with the naked eye."
The spinner was originally reported by umpires Asad Rauf and Billy Bowden after monitoring Ajmal's action in two ODI games.
The ICC's decision means Ajmal could now play in the World Twenty20 if he is called up by Pakistan.
