President Obama and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. held a press conference with President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan and President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan in the White House.
President Obama said the U.S. was deeply committed to helping Afghanistan and Pakistan defeat Al Qaeda and its extremist allies and helping democracy flourish.
