Zardari be wooed for US help over nuke security: Sen. Luger

WASHINGTON: US Senator Richard Luger, voicing concerns over the possible fall of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal into the hands of militants, has asked president Obama to force president Asif Ali Zardari for stepping up security of nukes.Talking to a foreign news agency, the member of Senate’s foreign committee Richard Luger said the international community is worried about the security of Pakistan’s nuclear weapons following the advance of local Taliban near Islamabad.He urged upon president Obama to woo president Asif Ali Zardari for extending mutual cooperation and aid in this respect.Obama must make sure the security matters of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal during his meet with president Zardari, he added.
