Pakistan's Razzaq replaces Arafat

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Razzaq was a regular for Pakistan before going to the ICL
The International Cricket Council has allowed Pakistan to bring in all-rounder Abdul Razzaq as a replacement for Yasir Arafat in the World Twenty20.
Razzaq was available after resigning from the unofficial Indian Cricket League and being granted an amnesty by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Bowler Arafat has picked up a hamstring injury which ruled him out of the rest of the tournament.
The PCB may also ask for injured fast bowler Sohail Tanvir to be replaced.
606: DEBATE
What do you think of Razzaq joining the Pakistan team?
Tanvir has a leg injury and is a major doubt for the Super Eight stage of the World Twenty20.
Pakistan play Sri Lanka on Friday before games against New Zealand a day later and Ireland on 15 June.
