ORLANDO -- Central Florida may be coping with cold weather, but the latest winter blast in the Northeastern states has led to more major flight delays for thousands of travelers.
Since 5 a.m. Friday, more than 100 flights have been delayed at Orlando International Airport, along with 70 cancellations.
The slow-moving storm system up north brought heavy snow and pounding winds to an area stretching from Pennsylvania to New England, while places that didn’t get snow have been dealing with flooding rainfall.
It rained so hard in Rhode Island, an entire parking lot there collapsed.
Strong winds have also knocked out power to tens of thousands of people.
As always, if you have a flight scheduled, your best bet is to check with your airline before heading out the door, and arrive early if your trip is still on schedule.
